TARRANT: (has lost his smile when he's heard Alice's last sentence) A last wish i have, before you go.
ALICE: Which would that be?
TARRANT: Let me make you a hat, and....
ALICE: And ...what?
TARRANT: And....(staring deeply into her eyes) let me tell you something.
ALICE: Just say it!
TARRANT: I can't see you as a sister. I never could.
ALICE: I beg your pardon?

TARRANT: (speaking to himself) We will meet again....someday...in Uplands.
